Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s recent comments on the Middle East conflict have drawn criticism.
During a virtual town hall, she agreed with a participant who suggested defunding Israel and sending aid to Gaza.

However, her comments were misleading and didn’t address the full context of the conflict.
“Just defund Israel and send funding and aid to Gaza,” commented a town hall participant.
“We’re funding a genocide, and I’m not OK with that,” added the man.

“We are really risking writing a blank check for atrocities,” remarked AOC.
“And I do not think that is a responsible policy,” she continued.
“What we are witnessing is the gross violation of human rights in Gaza,” said AOC to her constituents.

“And that is being done with U.S. military assistance,” alleged the squad-member.
Her remarks have led to increased criticism of her and the Democratic Party.
