A recent survey by the Anti-Defamation League and Hillel International found that 73% of Jewish college students and 44% of non-Jewish students experienced or witnessed antisemitic incidents since the beginning of the academic year.
The Israel-Hamas war has exacerbated tensions, leading to concerns about hate speech, harassment, and threats on college campuses.
The survey also revealed a decrease in Jewish students’ feelings of safety and support on campus following the war. (Trending: Donald Trump Confronts Bud Light CEO)
“No student should feel threatened or intimidated on campus,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the ADL.
“No student should feel the need to hide their religious or cultural identities.”
“No parent should ever have to wonder whether it’s safe to send their kids to certain schools — but that’s the sad reality for American Jews today.”
Palestinian, Muslim, and Arab students have also reported an increasingly hostile climate, including incidents of doxxing and a hate crime investigation after a hit-and-run at Stanford University.
