The 2024 election is the Republicans’ to lose, but they need to focus on more than just the weaknesses of the incumbent.
Donald Trump is a deeply flawed general election candidate, and the election will come down to the so-called double haters.
The focus should be kept on Joe Biden, and the second imperative is to describe what a second Trump term would look like. (Trending: Another Major Company Goes Woke And Goes Broke)
“The election is down to the so-called double haters,” wrote Louis Perron.
“Those who have an unfavorable opinion about both Trump and Biden,” he continued.
“The consequence of this is that if the focus will be on Joe Biden next year, Donald Trump will win, explained Perron.
Adding, “If the spotlight is on Donald Trump, however, Joe Biden has a chance to survive.”
Republicans need to reach out to independents and swing voters, offer the right amount of change, and do so in the right tone.
Trump needs to do more than rely on his base, and the polls showing him leading Biden in battleground states are meaningless at this point.
