Two recent polls show a decline in Americans’ belief in the American Dream.
The Wall Street Journal poll found that only 36% of respondents believe the American Dream still holds true, down from 53% in 2012.

Another NBC poll recorded a record-low 19% of respondents expressing confidence that their children’s generation would be better off than their own.
These findings reflect a growing sense of economic insecurity and skepticism about future prospects.
