The House Oversight Committee is preparing to question Hunter Biden about alleged influence-peddling activities, despite his attempts to delay and place conditions on the questioning.
The Bidens have a history of using their connections to Joe Biden for financial gain, but have largely avoided scrutiny.
Hunter will now have to answer specific questions about financial transactions involving millions of dollars from foreign sources, as well as his communications with foreign clients and government officials. (Trending: Biden Shamefully Removes God From National Address)
“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” Hunter wrote in one particular WhatsApp message.
“Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight.”
“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the Chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”
“I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
The threat of prosecution is real if he is found to have lied.
Hunter is expected to testify under oath for the first time, leaving behind his past defenses related to drug use and the origin of his laptop.
