The Washington Post has halted advertising on X/Twitter due to recent controversies involving Elon Musk, including allegations of hate speech and antisemitism.

This decision reflects a broader trend of major advertisers rethinking their association with the platform under Musk’s leadership.

Other companies and media houses are also reevaluating their presence on X/Twitter, driven by concerns over brand safety and content moderation policies. (Trending: Biden Shamefully Removes God From National Address)

The loss of large accounts with massive followings will hurt X/Twitter’s metrics and make the platform less enticing to remaining advertisers.

Elon Musk responded that he would let X die before he caves to advertisers who are “blackmailing” him.

“What the advertising boycott is going to do is it’s going to kill the company,” Musk explained.

“The whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company and we will document it in great detail. Let’s see how Earth responds.”
