A recent dating app report reveals that many women are no longer focused on adhering to traditional relationship timelines and milestones.
Instead, they are choosing their own paths and are increasingly looking for long-term relationships without actively seeking marriage.
This trend is seen as a positive revolution against outdated gender roles. (Trending: Chilling Surveillance Program Under Biden Exposed)
“So timelines are out, and choosing your own path is in,” said Bumble’s APAC communications director Lucille McCart.
She reported that despite 73% of respondents identified as pursuing a long term relationship, only 23% identified as “actively seeking out marriage as a goal.”
McCart has declared the shift as a, “really exciting revolution” for women that were headed for life on a “hamster wheel, unable to deviate from the traditional expectations around how a relationship should develop – move in together, get engaged, buy a home, get married, have a baby.”
Data from the Pew Research Center also shows that a significant portion of 40-year-olds in the U.S. have never been married, and attitudes about marriage are changing among young adults.
