President Joe Biden’s low approval rating among Americans aged 18-29 is a threat to his reelection, according to New York Times’ Nate Cohn.
Recent polling shows Biden only leads 76-20 percent among young Democratic voters and 69-24 percent among young nonwhite Democrats.
The sluggish polling can be attributed to factors such as young voters viewing Biden as too old, dissatisfaction with his handling of the Israel-Hamas war, and economic concerns. (Trending: Biden Shamefully Removes God From National Address)
According to the NYT poll, 56% of Gen Z respondents said their financial situations, “keep them up at night.”
The Times reported that 51% of Millennial respondents said their financial situations “keep them up at night.”
Only 37% of Gen X respondents and 20% of Baby Boomer respondents felt the same.
Economic factors, such as financial situations and expensive housing, contribute to Biden’s low approval rating among young Americans.
