Sen. Joe Manchin’s retirement has made the 2024 Senate landscape more challenging for Democrats, who are hoping to retain seats in West Virginia, Montana, and Ohio.

With the loss of West Virginia, Democrats will struggle to maintain their majority.

Sen. Tester is a Democrat that holds a seat from Montanta, and is expected to face Tim Sheehy from the GOP.

John LaBombard, Democrat strategist and former senatorial aide said, “This is going to be a hard, hard, hard race,”

“But I won’t bet against Sen. Tester,” he added.

Republicans are hoping to win back an important senate seat in a state that Trump reportedly won by 16 points.

Ohio Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown is primarily running an protecting access to abortion, while his GOP opponents struggle to gain support for their agenda.

Arizona may see Trump-backed Kari Lake face off with newly-Independent Sen. Sinema in a state where Democrats are struggling to win elections.

“Bob Casey was supposed to have an easy race,” Tester recently told Democrats, about the close race in Pennsylvania.

Adding, “I’ve watched that race very closely, because it may not be near as easy as we were hoping.”

These races involve key Democratic candidates facing tough competition from Republicans, with potential endorsements from former President Donald Trump.
