Vice President Kamala Harris received criticism for posting a Thanksgiving photo with a gas stove despite the Biden administration’s proposal to ban gas stoves.

The proposal was to address health concerns, but the idea was scrapped, and a proposed Department of Energy regulation for energy efficiency standards for gas stoves followed.

The House of Representatives approved an amendment to prevent strict new regulations on gas stoves, with help from several Democrats. (Trending: SNL Legend Unleashes On Democrats)

“From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving,” wrote Harris on X.

Critics reacted to observing what appeared to be a gas stove in the photo.

Rep. Mike Collins asked, “Is that a gas stove?”

Former governor Scott Walker piled onto the vice president as well.
Richard Trumka Jr. has warned that “a ban on gas stoves is on the table” for the Biden Administration.

“This is a hidden hazard,” Trumka has warned.

“Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned,” he added.

About 38% of American households use natural gas for cooking.
