P&O Cruises Australia’s cruise to New Zealand was disrupted when the ship was rejected by NZ border control due to an unclean hull, leading to a last-minute change to a Tasmania trip instead.
Passengers were compensated with $300 onboard credit and a future cruise credit as well.
“The ship left Sydney on Monday for hull cleaning off the Bay of Plenty, however the weather didn’t allow this to happen, so we apologize that the itinerary has had to be amended,” a spokesperson said. (Trending: Biden’s Mental Decline Getting Even Worse)
“A change in the forecast conditions made it too dangerous for divers, and therefore we are unable to gain clearance to enter New Zealand.”
“In lieu of sailing around New Zealand, Pacific Adventure is on her way to Tasmania, and we hope guests will enjoy their time in Hobart, Port Arthur and Eden.”
This incident is not new for the company, as a similar issue occurred in a previous cruise.
“This is just a turd covered in gold glitter. My husband has requested ET bring him home,” said the wife of a passenger.
“Honestly I just want to go back home,” another said.
Biosecurity New Zealand raised concerns about the ship’s biofouling levels, emphasizing the importance of biosecurity rules to protect New Zealand’s environment and economy.
