Law Enforcement Looking the Other Way as Illegal Chinese Grow Operations

via ABC News

Rural Maine is facing an issue with approximately 270 suspected illegal Chinese marijuana grows, which have been reported to law enforcement by local communities but have not been addressed.

The Department of Homeland Security warned about the operations potentially generating billions in revenue, with the marijuana being smuggled through Interstate 95.

Despite the federal and local authorities being aware of the issue, the sites remain active, causing concerns for the community’s safety and security. (Trending: US Troops Deliver Devastating Blow to Biden)

Daily Caller News Foundation investigative journalist Jennie Taer reported on the impact to the local community.

“What we found is just an astonishing situation, where you have these operating in plain sight in rural Maine and the communities there have alerted law enforcement to this issue, but no one seems to be doing anything about this,” said Taer.

“The memo came out over the summer, that was the federal government that was warning about this, and then, of course, local police and local sheriffs know about this issue, but all of these sites seem to be still active from what we’ve seen,” reported Taer.

“One of them was across the street from a daycare and reeked of marijuana,” explained Taer.

“They’re taking up the rural power supply, causing blackouts for their neighbors, they’re doing all kinds of things that are making the community feel very insecure, but they also feel forgotten because no one is heeding their warnings or their calls for law enforcement to go after these people,” said Taer to various news outlets.
