Thomas Hand’s daughter, Emily, who was abducted by Hamas during a terror attack, has been freed, bringing joy to the Hand family after 50 challenging days.
Emily, who turned 9 while in captivity, experienced weight loss but is generally doing better than expected.

He suffered public indignities and anguish, initially being told his daughter was dead.
The family expressed joy at Emily’s return but also remains committed to bringing back other hostages.
“Emily has come back to us!” the Hand family said.
“We can’t find the words to describe our emotions after 50 challenging and complicated days.”
“But at the same time, we remember Raya Rotem and all the hostages who have yet to return. We will persist in doing everything in our power to bring them back.”
