Xian Ke made a post on X about the incident, and included a video that she obtained.
“Some local journalists need to be on this: ‘A google bus lost its power while going up the hill and roll back and hit 9 cars this morning outside of my place’ (Castro district, SF). Video from my friend below,” wrote Ke.

KTVU News reported that the crash “remains under investigation,” and “[n]either the SFPD nor Google explained what caused the collision.”
Critics have questioned the rush to push electric vehicles into government services without proper testing in the private sector.
