Bill Gates discussed the potential impact of AI on work, suggesting a three-day workweek due to AI’s growing influence.
He envisions AI reshaping societal values and goals, enhancing productivity, healthcare, and education.
Gates acknowledges the challenges of job displacement but remains optimistic, emphasizing the need for government support.
“If changes proceed at a reasonable pace and the government helps those who need to learn new things, then it’s all good,” Gates said.
“The purpose of life is not just to do jobs. So if you eventually get a society where you only have to work three days a week or something, that’s probably OK,” Gates pressed separately.
However, Gates’ personal conduct, including allegations of inappropriate behavior and ties to Jeffrey Epstein, raises concerns about his vision for AI’s future.
In a recent podcast, Bill Gates shared that AI could potentially lead to a 3-day work week, allowing people work less.
