New York Mayor Eric Adams was accused of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed this week, with the alleged incident taking place in 1993.
Adams denied the allegation, and the complaint was filed under the Adult Survivors Act, which allows legal action for claims of abuse even if the statute of limitations has expired.
Court documents state, “Plaintiff was sexually assaulted by Defendant Eric Adams in New York, New York in 1993 while they both worked for the City of New York.” (Trending: Biden’s Mental Decline Getting Even Worse)
“The claims brought here allege intentional and negligent acts and omissions for physical, psychological, and other injuries suffered as a result of conduct that would constitute sexual offenses,” continued the summons.
“The mayor does not know who this person is,” said a spokesperson for Mayor Adams.
“If they ever met, he doesn’t recall it,” he continued.
Adding, “But he would never do anything to physically harm another person and vigorously denies any such claim.”
The accusation adds to recent difficulties for Adams, including an FBI probe into his campaign fundraiser and scrutiny over his handling of an influx of illegal immigrants into the city.
“Please consider another city as you make your decision about where to settle in the U.S,” wrote city officials to those that are seeking “Asylum”.
