Newly appointed Speaker of the House, Rep. Mike Johnson, has released over 40,000 hours of security footage from the January 6 insurrection online this week.
The purpose of this release was meant primarily to expose moments where rioters were merely walking about without restriction, despite opposite claims from the left.
The footage, however, may also showcase aggression and chaos, which would ultimately harm the goals of lawmakers such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, who have sought hard to prove the incident was blown out of proportion.
This post is an example of why timestamps matter on the videos, this one is being used to say "police excorted them in" This is 3:00 PM 2 hours after the riot started. The man leading this group in hallway fought his way in at 2:39:52 PM after spraying officers with a chemical pic.twitter.com/QkiLcfk4xK

I can’t wait to ask FBI Director Christopher Wray about this at our next oversight hearing.
I predict that, as always, his answers will be 97% information-free. https://t.co/m3rRE4Byfu

I’m calling on @SpeakerJohnson to create a January 6th Select Committee.
Releasing the tapes is not enough!
There needs to be investigations and ACCOUNTABILITY for ALL of the lies, deceit, and lives ruined.
Every member of the Jan 6th committee, Nancy Pelosi, FBI, DOJ, DC…

Actually he’s not a cop, he’s holding a vape, and he’s got a photo he stole from Nancy Pelosi’s office hidden under there. He’s been sentenced to four years in prison. Nice try tho! https://t.co/ydJQWoKJKA pic.twitter.com/dGNX0UpizL
