Gigi Hadid released a statement on Instagram condemning attacks on Israel, clarifying her pro-Palestine stance while denouncing terrorism.
Her father, Mohamed Hadid, also posted about the situation, blaming the escalation on Israel’s government and condemning the killing of civilians.
Bella Hadid has avoided political conversations, citing career repercussions, and the rest of the Hadid family has largely stayed silent on the issue.
“While I have hopes and dreams for Palestinians, none of them include the harm of a Jewish person,” Hadid wrote.
“I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation,” she added.
“The terrorizing of innocent people is not in alignment with & does not do any good for the ‘Free Palestine’ movement,” Gigi wrote.
“There is boiling point … I don’t know nor do I care for Hamas as much that I don’t know nor do I care where these [settlers] come from. But they are not angels,” he said.
