The U.S. military has conducted airstrikes on facilities used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iraq, the first pre-planned strikes in Iraq since attacks on American military facilities by Iranian proxy groups in October.
At least 66 attacks by Iranian proxies against the U.S. military have occurred, with the latest strikes targeting facilities rather than individuals.
The situation is being monitored, and it is unclear if the airstrikes killed any militants.
