Elon Musk has filed a defamation lawsuit against Media Matters for publishing a false report about his company, accusing them of malicious intent to damage his business.

The lawsuit is being overseen by District Judge Mark Pittman, a Trump appointee known for rulings favorable to conservative causes.

The Attorneys General from Missouri and Texas have announced they will investigate Media Matters for potential fraudulent activity. (Trending: Biden Baffles Thanksgiving Guests With Bizarre Joke)

“This week Media Matters for America posted a story that completely misrepresented the real user experience on X, in another attempt to undermine freedom of speech and mislead advertisers,” stated X/Twitter.

“The split second court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and ALL those who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company,” Musk said.

“Premium+ also has no ads in your timeline,” added Musk.

“Many of the largest advertisers are the greatest oppressors of your right to free speech.”

The situation has sparked debate and raised concerns about free speech and the portrayal of minority viewpoints on the platform.
