Donald Trump’s former corporate controller, Jeffrey McConney, testified at the former president’s civil fraud trial in New York, expressing that he left the Trump Organization due to being worn out by the company’s legal issues.
He stated that he felt comfortable with the valuations of the company’s assets and did not intend to mislead anyone.

“I just wanted to relax and stop being accused of misrepresenting assets for the company that I loved working for. I’m sorry.”
“I think everything was justified. Numbers don’t represent fully what these assets are worth,” he pressed.
“To be hit over the head every time with a negative comment over something is just really frustrating, and I gave up,” McConney said.
The trial involves allegations of fraudulent inflation of Trump’s wealth on financial statements to secure loans and insurance, while Trump contends that the documents actually underestimated his net worth.
