Former President Bill Clinton mistakenly posted a tribute to the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein instead of former first lady Rosalynn Carter, who had passed away.
Clinton later deleted the post and issued a new statement acknowledging Carter’s passing and expressing gratitude for their friendship.
“Hillary and I are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend, Senator Dianne Feinstein,” he posted.

The error drew heavy criticism for its insensitivity, and questions were raised regarding the lack of oversight before the post was shared.
The incident was highlighted as an inexcusable blunder, and comparisons were made to potential reactions if a similar mistake had been made by former President Donald Trump.
