Residents of Chicago, including black community members, are expressing frustration and opposition to the city’s Democratic government for allocating $150 million in spending for illegal immigrants in the 2024 budget.

They are critical of the city’s policy of providing hotel rooms for illegal immigrants while there is a large population of homeless people in the city.

The activists are demanding the removal of illegal immigrants from the city and have even threatened to vote for Republicans.

“We’re here to say to black aldermen who were elected by the black citizens of Chicago that we are fed up with your not hearing our stress and our demands but rather do what you want to do to please the Democratic Party,” a protester told reporters.

“Illegal immigrants are sleeping in hotels in the city of Chicago paid by the citizens of Chicago,” she added.

“Our position is that we will not quietly sit by and allow poor destitute people from around the world come to Chicago and be dumped into poor destitute communities in the city of Chicago to please the political agenda of black aldermen, the mayor of the city of Chicago, and the governor of the state of Illinois, as well as the president of the United States,” proclaimed the demonstrator.

Adding, “We are fed up with you for not taking the lead to stop the buses.”

The strain on the city’s resources due to the influx of illegal immigrants has led to a challenge to Chicago’s “sanctuary city” policy.
