President Biden caused confusion on social media during the annual White House Thanksgiving turkey pardon by mixing up pop singers Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Britney Spears.

His comments, while attempting to joke about the difficulty of getting concert tickets, resulted in widespread cringing and criticism on social platforms.

Observers highlighted the mix-up, with some using it as a point of humor and others as a cause for concern about his fitness for office, given his age. (Trending: Donald Trump Gets Great News Ahead of 2024)

“Now, just to get here, Liberty and Bell had to beat some tough odds, a competition, Biden began.

“They had to work hard to show patience and be willing to travel over a thousand miles,” he continued.

“You could say even this is harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour, or – or Britney’s tour she’s down in – it’s kind of warm in Brazil right now,” mumbled Biden.

State Freedom Caucus Network communications director Greg Price attempted to make sense of the gaffe.

“Joe Biden makes a joke about how hard it is to get tickets to Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour except he says that her name is ‘Brittany.’ He then says she is currently performing in Brazil, which is where Taylor Swift just did shows on her Eras Tour,” explained Price.

Adding, “Beyoncé’s tour ended in October.

Outkick’s Clay Travis said, “81 year old Joe Biden, attempting to not appear ancient, mixes up Beyoncé, Taylor Swift and Britney Spears.”

National Republican Congressional Committee communications director Jack Pandol contributed to the criticism, saying “This is an impeachable offense.”

“Joe Biden tried to make a reference to Taylor Swift and failed spectacularly,” mocked Ian Miles Cheong.

This incident occurred as Biden marked his 81st birthday, further drawing attention to his age, as he is currently the oldest person to serve as President of the United States.
