Javier Milei, Argentina’s President-elect, plans to visit Israel and the United States before his inauguration, describing the trips as “spiritual” and intended for meetings with rabbis.
He won the presidency with a promise to install the U.S. dollar as the official currency, cut government spending, and eliminate the Argentine Central Bank.
Milei aims to shift Argentina’s foreign policy towards Israel and the U.S., abandoning pro-Iran and pro-China stances.

He has shown enthusiastic support for Israel, and his interest in Judaism has been evident through his studies and public statements.
“My first trip will be to the United States … and then I will be traveling to Israel, so those will be the first trips I will make,” said Milei.
“The trip has more of a spiritual connotation than other characteristics,” he teased.
“Israel I consider to be such an ally that I have said I will move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem,” share Milei with his supporters.
“It brings me a lot of joy that many people go to the Kotel, the Western Wall in Israel, and leave petitions for me,” proclaimed Milei.
Adding, ” I feel good, but I am also convinced in what I am doing. Life without freedom is not worth living.”
