Left-wing Jewish celebrities are urging TikTok to take action against the platform’s surge in antisemitism and support for Hamas.

Sacha Baron Cohen, Debra Messing, and Amy Schumer expressed concern about TikTok becoming a hub for Jew hate and the promotion of antisemitic slogans.

TikTok leaders appeared to prevaricate on their policy regarding such content, leading to a fiery conversation during a private call.

What is happening at TikTok is it is creating the biggest antisemitic movement since the Nazis,” accused Cohen.

Will & Grace star Debra Messing claimed that “the main platform for the dissemination of Jew hate” is TikTok.

Messing claimed the phrase, “from the river to the sea” calls or extermination of Israel and not for the freedom of Palestinians.

“Where it is clear exactly what they mean — ‘kill the Jews, eradicate the state of Israel’ — that content is violative and we take it down,” Presser reportedly said on the call.

Adam Presser wrote on behalf of TikTok, “Our approach up until October 7, continuing to today, has been that for instances where people use the phrase where it’s not clear, where someone is just using it casually, then that has been considered acceptable speech.”

Debra Messing did not like that response.

She continued, claiming that it “much more responsible to bar it at this juncture than to say, ‘Oh, well, some people, they use it in a different way than it actually was created to mean.’”

“I understand that you are in a very, very difficult and complicated place, but you also are the main platform for the dissemination of Jew hate,” charged the actress.

The platform has reportedly experienced a rise in anti-Jewish hate speech, including phrases like “Hitler was right” and praise for Osama bin Laden, following the recent conflict between Hamas and Israel.
