New York Attorney General Letitia James is requesting a December deadline for a judicial response to former President Trump’s motion for a mistrial in his civil fraud case.
Trump’s team filed the motion, citing an overwhelming bias from the judge.
James called the claims “spurious allegations.”

“In this case, the evidence of apparent and actual bias is tangible and overwhelming,” stated Trump attorneys Clifford Robert and Alina Habba.
“Such evidence, coupled with an unprecedented departure from standard judicial procedure, has tainted these proceedings and a mistrial is warranted,” they added.
The case involves fraud charges against Trump and his two adult sons, with Trump denying any wrongdoing and James denying the charges are politically motivated.
