Senior Democratic operatives discussed the suggestion of President Biden reconsidering his reelection bid due to polls showing Trump leading in key battleground states.
They expressed fear as to whether or not Biden will fail to answer the question, “Were you better off four years ago than you are now?”

“They honestly don’t matter in relation to the question. And Biden is going to flunk that question and lose.”
This is seen as a reversal of Reagan’s defining question in the 1980 election.
It is anticipated that Trump and Kennedy will use variations of this question to challenge Biden, as many Americans believe they were better off four years ago.
