Chinese authorities raided a Christian worship service in Sichuan province, arresting 13 believers, including Elder Li Yingqiang and Pastor Dai Zhichao of Chengdu Early Rain Covenant Church.

The raid took place during a service at the “Good Land Mission Center,” leading to the detention of multiple individuals.

The CCP’s recent “Patriotic Education Law” emphasizes the promotion of Communist ideology within religious activities, reflecting President Xi Jinping’s “Sinicization” program.

“The state is to guide and support religious groups, religious institutes, and religious activity sites in carrying out patriotic education activities, enhancing religious professionals’ and believers’ identification with the great motherland, the Chinese people, Chinese culture, the Chinese Communist Party, and socialism with Chinese characteristics,” the law reads.
