Actor Glen Powell addressed rumors about secretly dating his co-star Sydney Sweeney and discussed the complexities of dating after gaining fame from “Top Gun: Maverick.”

He emphasized the challenges of finding a partner who can handle the uncertainties of his career and the difficulties of forming genuine connections in the public eye.

Powell also mentioned his preference for a nomadic lifestyle and highlighted his strong bond with his dog, Brisket. (Trending: Judge Issue Major Ruling On Transgender Procedures For Kids)

When all that stuff happened, you know, publicly, it felt disorienting and unfair,” recounted Powell.

“But what I’m realizing now is that’s just a part of this gig now,” he continued.

“When the sun is shining, you gotta make hay. And you gotta chase this while you got it,” insisted the actor.

Powell emphasized that “on a romantic level, you gotta find a teammate who is down for that adventure, down for that uncertainty, down for that thing. It’s a lot to deal with.”

Adding, “Honestly, I really try to be a great partner. When I love, I love hard. I also understand that the speed and uncertainty of my life is a very hard thing to put up with.”

Powell joked that he doesn’t “think drinking the water of any one place for too long is healthy,” when asked about his busy life.

“I needed to put love into something,” recalled Powell while discussing his dog.

“I saw Brisket’s face and fell in love,” explained the actor.

Additionally, he shared insights into how Tom Cruise helped him prepare for his role in “Top Gun: Maverick.”

“We would watch movies and talk about certain actors,” said Powell about the guidance he received from Tom Cruise.

Powell recalled that Cruise said to him, ‘You, as a person, are very apologetic. You don’t want to hurt people, you want to treat people well. You apologize even when you don’t need to. You can’t have any of that in your eyes.”
