The USS Thomas Hudner has shot down a drone over the Red Sea, with the responsible party currently undisclosed.

The incident follows threats from Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen to attack ships in the Red Sea and the Houthis’ downing of a US MQ-9 Reaper Drone.

It also raises concerns surrounding a potential escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

The U.S. has launched retaliatory strikes on Iranian-backed groups in Syria, and while no immediate military response was announced regarding the drone incidents, the Pentagon stated they reserve the right to respond at a time and place of their choosing.
