Former Georgia lawmaker Felicia Franklin plans to sue Clayton County for wrongful termination after being dismissed from her position as Board of Commissioners vice chair following an incident outside a sports bar.
The altercation, captured on police-worn body cameras, involved Franklin shouting at medics.
She claims she was drugged with a ‘date rape’ drug, but police found no evidence to support this. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

In the lawsuit, Franklin claims that her “evening took a turn for the worse” just before she was found “crying and clearly in a vulnerable position” when first responders arrived at the scene.
Sgt. Scott Stewart of the Morrow Police Department said to reporters, “We have found no evidence to support that she was in fact drugged with GHB.”
The authorities reportedly confirmed security footage verified that Franklin arrived alone and ordered multiple beverages.
“She had probably three and a half, four drinks, then a swig of beer,” suggested Stewart.
During the incident, Franklin reportedly said “I don’t give a f——, get him out of my face,” when the police informed hr that she was “about to go to jail.”
Sgt. Stewart told reporters, “She refused a blood test, but she did have a urinalysis, and it showed positive for cannabinoids, also known as cannabis.”
Law enforcement stated the case was “closed”, but Franklin has posted a personal update on Facebook.
“It is believed by medical professionals that I was drugged with a GHB pill, more commonly known as the ‘date rape pill,’ and this incident has shaken me to my core,” wrote Franklin.
Adding, “I will be working closely with authorities to ensure that justice is served, and I will also be advocating for improved safety measures at events like these.”
“No one should have to go through what I experienced, and I want to thank all of you for your support during this challenging time,” signed off the former lawmaker.
Franklin was unanimously ousted from her position, and she intends to run for chairwoman.
