Trump Opened Up About Hurt of Losing Loved Ones Month Before Sister Died

Maryanne Trump Barry, the older sister of former President Donald Trump, passed away at the age of 86.

In a recent interview, Donald Trump reflected on the loss of family members, including his father and two brothers.

Despite discussing the state of the country and his presidency, the conversation led Trump to reflect on his personal life. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

When asked about authoring an autobiography in an attempt to control his legacy, Trump said, “I will when we’re finished.”

The former president spoke about the personal connection his feels to his passionate supporters.

“The level of love and spirit — and I think what they do is — they like what I say. I think they like me. You know, they like to say, ‘They like his policy, but they don’t like him.’ I think they like me. Why wouldn’t they like me?” joked Trump.

He spoke about his brothers, Fred and Robert, and his father, highlighting the lessons he learned from them.

“Well, I had two really good brothers,” began Trump, before discussing both brothers whom have passed away.

“My other brother Robert, I was very close to. Passed away two years ago. Wonderful guy. He was so proud of me,” Trump told the reporter.

Trump moved on to reflect positively about his father.

“You learn from people. My father was a great guy. He was very strong, very tough. But he had a tremendous heart. Tremendous heart. He was very generous in so many ways,” said Trump about his father.

Trump closed out an anecdote by saying, “The most famous person in the world is Jesus Christ.”

Trump also emphasized the importance of humility, kindness and perseverance.
