Late-night host Stephen Colbert recently had to pause filming of his CBS show after contracting COVID-19 for the second time.

Initially planning to record “The Late Show” from home, he later announced a further hiatus due to doctor’s orders.

Colbert has been a vocal advocate for the COVID-19 vaccine, featuring educational segments on his show and reworking iconic songs to promote vaccination. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

“Sorry to say, per doctor’s orders, I’m going to be out for the rest of the week,” he posted online.

“Resting up so that I can deliver the hand crafted, artisanal talk show that we so enjoy serving you,” he added.

“In the meantime, a heady blend of Paxlovid and onions in my socks (thank you, Fallon) will be rebuilding my immune system,” he said. (Trending: Court Hands Down Crucial 2nd Amendment Ruling)

This isn’t the first time Colbert has faced COVID-19, having previously had the virus in April 2022.
