President Joe Biden expressed frustration towards David Axelrod, a top strategist for former President Barack Obama, after Axelrod suggested that Biden should consider not seeking reelection.
Biden called Axelrod a “prick” in a private gathering, leading Axelrod to later back away from his statements, emphasizing that the decision is ultimately Biden’s.
“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?” Axelrod questioned. (Trending: Photos Released Of Cocaine Found In White House)

“It’s very late to change horses,” he had added.
Biden’s animosity extended to the media, as he engaged in a heated discussion with a reporter regarding polling data.
“Because you don’t read the polls — there are 10 polls — eight of them I’m beating him in. You guys only do two. CNN, New York Times, check it out. We’ll get you a copy,” Biden shot back when questioned of his trailing in recent polls.
Concerns about Biden’s age have persisted from both sides, and the White House has sought hard to mitigate public perception of his capabilities.
Additionally, Biden is now facing potential challengers within the Democratic Party and an additional independent candidate for the presidency.
