NFL Hall of Famer and Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus passed away from a stroke at his home in Malibu, California on October 5th.
The death certificate has listed the cause of death as a cerebrovascular accident, with contributing factors including atrial fibrillation, chronic high cholesterol, and atherosclerosis.
Butkus, known for his career with the Bears from 1965-1973, was honored for his achievements in the NFL and his impact on the sport.
