Former President Trump took the stand in a New York trial, demanding a jury for the civil case against him and his businesses.

The trial involves allegations of fraud and the inflating of asset values.

Trump described the case as a “disgrace” and “election interference,” maintaining that his assets were actually massively undervalued. (Trending: Is It Time For Joe Biden To Drop Out Of 2024?)

“There was never an option to choose a jury trial,” Trump’s spokesperson said. “It is unfortunate that a jury won’t be able to hear how absurd the merits of this case are and conclude no wrongdoing ever happened.”

“We shouldn’t be having a case here because we have a disclaimer clause that every court holds up except this judge,” Trump pressed.

“They’re trying to hurt me — especially her,” Trump stated, referencing James. “For political reasons.”

“This is a political witch hunt, and she should be ashamed of herself,” Trump said. “The fraud is her.”

His lawyer praised his testimony, calling it “an absolutely brilliant performance,” and Trump’s defense highlighted disclaimers on financial statements.

“An absolutely brilliant performance by President Trump. He’s not backing down. He’s told everyone the facts,” the lawyer expressed. (Trending: CNN Poll Is Bad News For Biden)

“Now that the American people know what’s going on, maybe something will change.”

The trial has raised constitutional questions regarding the right to a jury trial.

Trump’s legal team criticized the judge’s conduct, alleging unfair treatment.

“I think this case is a disgrace,” Trump said, emphasizing that New Yorkers are being “murdered” as James is “watching this case.”

“It’s a disgrace. It is election interference because you want to keep me in court all day long,” Trump stated following hours of testimony. “And Judge…I want a jury.”

The case is expected to have significant implications and may head to the Supreme Court.
