Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear won reelection to a second term, using his stewardship over economic growth and handling of disasters to secure victory over Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron.

Beshear’s campaign focused on state issues, as Kentucky benefitted greatly from federal pandemic and infrastructure funding.

Donald Trump blamed Mitch McConnell for Cameron’s loss.

“Daniel Cameron lost because he couldn’t alleviate the stench of Mitch McConnell,” Trump stated.
