Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene plans to reintroduce a resolution to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib over her comments on the war in Gaza.

Greene criticized Tlaib for attending a pro-Palestinian rally where activists took over a government building.

She called out the Republicans who voted against censuring Tlaib, accusing them of supporting terrorists and being anti-Israel.

Greene hopes to at least censure Tlaib for her speech and actions.

“I’m reintroducing my censure resolution against Terrorist Tlaib,” Greene Posted on X. “I am removing ‘insurrection’ and replacing it with ‘illegal occupation’ on Oct 18th that broke the same federal laws as Jan 6 and led to hundreds of arrest and assault on Cap Police.”

Tlaib defended her remarks, stating that her advocacy is centered on justice and peaceful coexistence.

She said she expected that her fellow lawmakers “will use their freedom of speech in congress to censure (condemn) Terrorist Tlaib’s speech, lies, and actions that incited an illegal occupation on Oct 18th.”

“They censured Adam Schiff so they should be able to vote to censure her. We can not stand by doing nothing while one of our colleagues calls for the genocide of our great friend and ally Israel. Terrorist Tlaib should be expelled but let’s see if we can at least censure her.”

The phrase “from the river to the sea” used by Tlaib was considered by the Anti-Defamation League as a code for eradicating Israel.

Tlaib accused President Biden of supporting the genocide of Palestinians.

Tlaib called Greene’s effort to censure her “unhinged” and “deeply Islamophobic.”

“I am proud to stand in solidarity with Jewish peace advocates calling for a ceasefire and an end to the violence. I will not be bullied, I will not be dehumanized, and I will not be silenced,” the Michigan Democrat said.
