“I’ve dealt with these politicians many times,” Parker Boot Company owner Zephan Parker said. “I’ve helped them with their lifts. [DeSantis] is wearing lifts; there’s no doubt.”
The DeSantis campaign criticized the article as a “hit piece.”
The controversy arose from DeSantis’s interview where he denied wearing hidden heels in his boots.

Donald Trump Jr. also commented on the issue, poking fun at the Governor for his “insecurity.”
“People will only remember [DeSantis’s] presidential run for his ridiculous boots or, as many refer to them, heels,” he said on his podcast.
“Tell me what the level of insecurity is that you have to wear heel lifts this high,” he added.
