Ivanka Trump is reportedly trying to avoid testifying in her family’s civil fraud trial, citing “undue hardship” of being asked to testify during a school week.
The trial, which alleges a scam to inflate Donald Trump’s net worth, includes the former president and his sons as co-defendants.
Ivanka Trump was removed from the lawsuit earlier this year due to statute-of-limitations grounds.
Funny, she seemed to accompany her dad on several international trips during his White House tenure—and several days a week, I make it to the same trial she’s trying to avoid despite two school-aged kids & a working spouse. https://t.co/nGmabHQJmm

There are suggestions that she wants to avoid testifying because she could face intense scrutiny regarding the Trumps’ financial statements.
The court denied her request to pause the trial, leading to mockery on social media.
Some have also highlighted her privilege compared to other working parents.
And on weekends the kids have soccer. They’ll just have to conduct the quarter-of-a-billion-dollar trial about her family business without her. 🤷🏻♂️ https://t.co/o5evd0BWzu
