Selena Gomez has faced heavy criticism from fans for her response to the Israel-Hamas war, with many considering her statement too vague and believing she could have used her influence more effectively.
Gomez expressed her concern for the violence and called for the protection of all people, especially children.
“I’ve been taking a break from social media because my heart breaks to see all of the horror, hate, violence and terror that’s going on in the world,” Gomez posted on Instagram. “People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific.”

“Shame on you Selena Gomez. You have 430 million followers yet people with less followers be doing so much more,” one user stated. “Our voices are being heard. You are just ignorant.”
