Gov. Phil Murphy (D-NJ) is seeking reimbursement from the NJ Democratic Party for $12,000 in stadium event purchases used at a Taylor Swift concert, and additional events, after the Governor used New Jersey taxpayer money to cover the expenses.
When Murphy was pressed as to why the expenses were covered with state funds, his office argued that they had planned all along for the Democrat Part to foot the bill.
Murphy’s office used their personal expense account to pay for the expenses, an account meant for “Official Receptions, Official Residence, and Other Official Expenses.” (Trending: It’s Time For Donald Trump To Drop Out)
