Israel Violates International Law Again

Palestinian death toll has risen past 8,000, according to an AP report from Gaza’s Health Ministry. This includes a significant number of women and children.

Israel has been widely condemned for committing war crimes and violating international law with an unprecedented attack on the Gaza Strip.

Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store criticized Israel’s response to the recent terrorist attack by Hamas as “disproportionate.”

He emphasized Israel’s right to defend itself but also called for its actions to be in line with international law. (Trending: Donald Trump Is A ‘Cockroach’ That Just Won’t Go Away)

Store expressed concern over the increase in Israeli aggression and called for an immediate ceasefire.

“We’ve underlined Israel’s right to defend itself. We recognize that it is demanding to fight Hamas in areas as densely populated as Gaza, where there are over two million people and half of them are children and young people,” he said.

“At the same time, we have been completely clear to Israel that it must happen in line with the rules of the international law of war,” he added.

“Norway is asking for an immediate ceasefire,” Store said. “I am pleased that a large majority of the countries in the world have passed a resolution at the U.N. on ceasefire and the receiving of emergency aid. This cannot be allowed to continue.”

Internet and phone connectivity disrupted by Israel’s bombardment of Gaza were restored for many people, despite ongoing Israeli military strikes. (Trending: Joe Biden Historic Take Down of Guns)

The strikes had previously cut off communication for most of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.

In the West Bank, over 110 Palestinians have been killed. Israel reported over 1,400 deaths, including soldiers and hostages taken by Hamas militants.

Israeli airstrikes have targeted areas near Gaza’s largest hospital, damaging roads leading to the facility.

The Israeli military has accused Hamas of using the hospital and its underground bunkers as shields.

The blackout has hindered communication and aid efforts, isolating the population.

The UN Security Council has scheduled an emergency meeting to discuss Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza.

Additionally, two US aircraft carrier groups have been deployed to the Mediterranean in support of Israel and as a deterrent to Iran.
