A drag queen story hour event featuring “Pickle the Drag Queen” was shut down in San Fernando Valley, California, after parents protested.
The crowd, belonging to groups called Leave Our Kids Alone and Parents’ Voices of the Glendale Unified School District, held signs and chanted “Leave our kids alone!”
Pickle defended the event as about self-expression and claimed the programs were G-rated.

Social media users had mixed reactions, with some criticizing the event as evil and questioning why senior citizens were not included.
ABC 7 described the peaceful protest as “chaos.”
Pickle claimed it is “about self-expression,” adding, “These programs are completely G-rated.”
“If they don’t want to bring their children, for whatever reason that is their right,” he added.
Social media users reacted to the protest. One person stated, “Good. More of this. Sexual exhibitionists getting off on kids is evil. Demonic.”
