Democrat Rep. Dean Phillips is reportedly launching a bid against President Joe Biden in the 2024 Democratic primary.
New Hampshire Secretary of State Dave Scanlan reported that Phillips would serve New Hampshire well by entering the primary race.
“He has not actually scheduled a time with my office,” Scanlan said. “I know that he has scheduled some space on the front lawn of the statehouse.”

“I think that would a healthy thing for the New Hampshire primary,” Scanlan added in reference to Phillips’ plans.
A bus covered in “Dean Phillips for President” signs was spotted in Ohio and posted online early this week.
Phillips has condemned the President for “not passing the torch” to younger Democrats on multiple occasions.
New Hampshire-based political consultant Jim Demers slammed Phillips intentions, calling it “a ridiculous idea.”
“Democrats in New Hampshire support the president,” Demers pressed.
“So if his mission is to divide Democrats and help [former President] Donald Trump, then that’s what he’s doing.”
