Anthony is a farmer living in Virginia. His song amassed 15 million views on YouTube within one week.
He’s also dominating Spotify’s viral chart with several entries. Four of his songs have been listed in the top 10.
A number of prominent political figures and political commentators have praised the song.
This includes Republican House representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, and conservative commentators Matt Walsh and Dan Bongino.
Anthony doesn’t shy away from politics in his lyrics. “‘Cause your dollar ain’t sh*t and it’s taxed to no end/’Cause of rich men north of Richmond,” he sings in the chorus.
Anthony also refers to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean island.
“I wish politicians would look out for miners/And not just minors on an island somewhere,” he sings, suggesting that he believes politicians protected the late convicted sex offender.
